This gem rare gem stone acquires its name because it has an amazing ability to change colors, after exposing it to different sources of light and temperature. The color changing characteristic of this unique precious stone remains a mystery to the experts in the field.

Chameleon diamond was discovered in about half a century ago, but little is known about it and it the reason why the price is beyond reach of an ordinary man. An important but little known characteristic of a chameleon diamond is that, it has the it has the capacity to change from olive green or greyish blue to yellowish green depending on the light condition.
